I have been here a while, just don't post often, I am part owner, along with my father, in a 1966 Corvette coupe, 327, 4-speed.  Its in the early stages of having all the funky customizing my dad did to it in the mid 70's.  Its not as bad as the Corvette Summer car or anything, just the standard 70,s stuff: fender flares on the rear, glassed in head lights and the tail lights from a 69 Firebird.  It wasn't original even back in the 70's, theft recovery, so once it is done I will be able to drive and enjoy it with out worrying too much.

Well, I had a vette but wasn't really a vette man.  I've been a GM/Mopar owner for decades.  The chance to own a 72 vette 454 4spd conv loaded came by and I jumped on it.  It was a great 6 years but my heart wasn't into waving just to other vette owners, I started to realize I wasn't a vette owner but a Muscle car guy that owned a  corvette.    I started thinking about a new Challenger or Camaro and realized I was a classic guy and paying sick tax bills as my car declined wasn't for me.  So I fulfilled a long time dream and bought the car I wanted since it came out in 1969.    The 69 Charger R/T. Oh Yea, No regrets.  2thumbs

I've owned 8 corvettes, and still have a 2002 convertible with only 6500 miles on it.   Why so few miles?   Because I really like driving my old Mopars every weekend.....:-)

for some reason Corvettes to me are cool. I am not a big fan of chevy by any means but the zo6 vetts are the best damn sports car you can buy for under 100K and will smoke most cars over 100K. Hats off to chevy on that car, I had one for about 3 years and absolutly loved it, Need to get a new one soon.

I went through a Vette phase a few years ago, and I owned a few. That last one I had was a 89 Vette with a Lingenfelter 383. Since I live 20 minutes from them, I was always down there picking up goodies for the car. Those people sure can build an engine. yesnod

I'd bet to say there are more Mopar/GM guys than any other mix of car lovers.  As cool as a Cuda was, a Camaro SS or Z/28 was.  A Super Bee, a nice GTO judge or Chevelle.  They both made and make great cars.  I had Mopars and GM pictures all over my walls as a kid.  I own a Charger and a Pontiac van.  ( Oh yea and a Honda Pilot  )  Don't be slamming Honda or we gonna have some problems here.
