I'm speechless, but then again I saw a 71 6pack RR at a local show here a few weeks ago. He had pics of the resto and at 1 point the car consisted of the 2 rear frame rails on a jig. The only original part on the car was the roof and part of 1 rear frame rail. The other frame rail was replaced section by section. The complete front clip was changed along with the firewall, cowl, hinge pillars, ineer and outer rockers you name it it got replaced.

In other words a re-body.

Hey! At least he's not gonna hold out because he's gonna " fix er up someday". "Now, with only one more birthday until my 60th, I’ve decided that I’m never going to get this project off the ground, and have begun to think of disposing of it. "

I'm a HUGE 69 Camaro Fan/past owner. There were several special things about 396/375hp cars that few knew. Kinda like you Hemi guys. One was the single fuel line. 6 cyl and 375 hp cars had the single line while all the other models, SS etc had a return line also. Bottom line is, Rebody. They bring big bucks.

1969 Charger RT/SE - I remember standing in the Dodge showroom in 1969 drooling over the new Charger. My parents bought a Chevelle next door at the Chevy dealer. ( still getting consoling over that ) Wanna trade your car? My new site: http://www.CARSNOTFORSALE.com A big thank you to my wife, for posting for me when I'm not home to do so. Thanks, honey.

We all know that it's only a "re-body" when you swap the while unibody under the VIN plate in one single piece. But if you do the same thing in several pieces, then that's a "restoration" of the old body.

In other words a re-body. Personally i would have said its dead and left it at that, but i gotta give those guys the credit for the thousands of hours they invested in "restoring" instead of number swapping to a clean shell. Att he end of the day i guess its pretty well a number swap. I wouldn't want to do either.
