Does somebody know what modern car has a blower what could fit on 3rd gen Charger with lower power consumption and maybe, ( not extremelly necesary ) even faster ?

plugs on A/C blower system are the ones that continously overheats and melts and keep on discharge the ammeter... HEAVY DISCHARGE...

Note... I have not fount ground problems or loosen dirty terminals... everything is cleaned and tight

I've often wondered why one couldn't use a relay with a high current rating to power the blower motor directly from the battery just like the headlight relay that's currently in vogue.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Factory set-up does suck. Way too much wire and too many connectors in the circuit.

Considered this, but you'd lose your variable speed. Since your resistor is under the dash, so you're pretty much screwed.

I just got done replacing my dash harness. While I was at it, I went ahead and replaced the accessory harness for the A/C. I've also got a new underhood A/C harness which I haven't installed yet. Just replacing the in-dash harness and cleaning all the old contacts made a HUGE difference on my blower speed. I probably need to replace my fan switch as well.

as 471magnum says, I would loose the speed lever and only would get high speed. If I put the relay BEFORE the lever will get EVEN MORE overheating and burn wires/terminals/plugs.

471 I also replace my A/C harness, and ALSO the underdash... true that I replaced by an used one, but IN TRULLY PERFECT CONDITIONS... BELIEVE ME. Even in that way, I checked terminals and every thing is tighten and clean. and still get overheating on speed lever switch and plugs related... even on fuse terminals on fusebox. The overheat is not on all places at tha same times, is a jumping funny heat LOL... allways it happens on one place at a time.

nacho it sounds like the motor is drawing too many amps.that woul make it keep burning your wires.

Nacho-RT74

not only wires, they are burning in fact the terminals isolators and even the fuse box at fuse terminals area ( that is what is hurting me more :( ).

I already replaced the blower for a used one from a 73 donor that looks practically new. dissasemblied and everything was perfect. both blkowers with same issues at my wiring.

My 73 did the same thing I even run a new wire and it still over heated, also put in a new blower motor.
