Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I just returned from the shop and am once again very happy with the progress. The car is looking great. All of the metal work is done, the lines are coming together and looking awesome, and the word "primer" was used a few times, so it's moving right along! I'll upload and post some pictures in a few minutes.

dodgecharger-fan

The time you spent typing that in could have been spent uploading pictures.

Get you priorities straight!!!

 I'm kidding, of course.... but post some pics already.

For those that haven't seen the pictures in a while, check these out before, so you can see how the car came back from the blaster's shop and the work done since then.

Ok, here goes.. I won't caption every picture, but I am still looking for the passenger's side rear quarter "eyebrow" trim pc.. As you'll see, mine is no good.

On to the good. The new nose had to be skim coated and still needs to be sanded with fine paper, but you get the idea.

No more directional holes:

This bracket, on the right, they discovered is rotted from the car. They'll make a new L-bracket for it this week and reconnect it. This nose was literally hanging off the car between that and the other "issues" it had.

This is the bracket I posted a picture of earlier.

TO BE CONTINUED.....

jb666

The deck lid looks a bit better than last week:

One cool thing is I never realized what lines were MISSING from my car before. Check out the "new" car and compare it to the old "smooth" lines that were on the car!!!!!

Tail light panel's in and secure:

The lock bracket is secure now

That's it, for now. I have more, but I have to go out for a while.

jb666

Sorry, last shot.. I love the lines of these cars, they are just so sexy..

jb, I'm going throgh the same thing now with the magically reappearing body line. My car didn't have it and now it does because of the repairs from my accident....

Yes, I honestly had no idea of the body lines I was missing. NOW I see why some of the hard core Mopar guys were saying "I saw problems from the original pictures". I had no idea...

WOW... looks Good Jeff, Most of that BK orange is Gone !

Ron

Thank you! It is almost gone, yes. The only part(s) that have Orange left are those that couldn't be sandblasted. The front valance wasn't on the car when it went to the (blaster's) shop and the rear lower panel couldn't be done because the rear tail light panel was so rotted and they didn't know what to expect.

So much for my ability to SEARCH.. I never realized this was here. There's a pretty strong warning, from 2006, about Thomas @ BK.

And  :o , that's MY CAR in the picture(s) here!!!!!!!!!

It was such a nice looking car when you got it . . . .

. . . . . . . and look what you've done to it!  :brickwall:

J/K,  :icon_smile_big:
it is amazing to see the missing lines returning.  :2thumbs:

General_01

The car is looking great. :2thumbs:

As for the BKAuto threads, that is unreal. Even after this started, I never even thought to do a search on this site for them. :slap:

You can also see that others were fooled by them. Quite a few guys thought there stuff looked great. Guess we know different now thanks to you.

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

jb666

This one's my favorite.. Now that it actually has the lines it should, it's really looking like the dream I always had  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

BTW, I got my latest group of parts in from Pete, and they were (once again) AWESOME.

The dome light is perfect!! I was shocked to see it came with all of the wire needed to plug it right in -- Thanks Pete!!!

Now all I need is that one passenger's rear quarter eyebrow trim pc.  :popcrn:

The second gen Chargers are a very sexy car. It doesn't take much looking around to notice that SEXY has been a thing of the past in cars.. I would have to say,,,, oh,,,,, 1970 was about the end of it...        ;)
