Great looking part. Thats tallent.

Amazing how rust has a way of eating one part but not another.

Your lucky to have people as tallented as that working on your car.

Talk about crap to riches you lucky bastard.

I agree with everything you've said here

Yes. The rear frame rails (those that weren't MISSING") were molded from fiberglass. That's what started this whole thing...

CORVETTE WANNABE!!! :smilielol: any more progress on this one dude? It's comin along great! When do you hope to have it finished by?

Well, I'm heading to the shop tomorrow. So far, the rumor is it MIGHT get jammed this coming week, if I'm lucky, then put together for the final time, all panels aligned, the time to shoot.. The time span for completion?? I'm not sure.. We've talked about the end of June, but I'm not pressing the guys.. As far as I'm concerned, they are artists and I'm the unskilled customer who's looking through the glass for the finished product.. Put deadlines on people and things get rushed --- It's not how these guys like to work, and I respect that.  More pictures coming after tomorrow.. I'm going away until Monday morning, so they might not be up till then.

bogus

ok... 114 lbs of bondo? In the quarters ALONE? If they had done the work properly, they would have saved money...

Even on weight alone, at 128 oz of bondo to a gallon, that works out to 14 gallons!!!!!!!!

Twisted - that Z is tragic, brah. Not even funny. I hope he gets put out to pasture for that crime.

Gearhead extraordinaire. :)

Off topic a little but I need to thank Jeff myself just for the mere fact that this is what has gotten me off my butt lately and working on my charger not to mention I want to have it ready so we can meet up and take pictures this summer.  Also, RAWPWR lives down that way and would like to meet up with him as well.  Oop gotta get back out there.  Wet sanding and putting on my wheel trim...again. Also cleaning up the 3.91 pig right now as well.  Basically anything to avoid screwing with panel alignment.

Ok, nothing earth shattering here, just a few progress shots. The doors have been completely sealed (inside) so they will never have the BK problems again. I still love the way the hood came out (filled in the directionals).

And it might be the last time you see it this way...

Just curious, but aren't there drain holes at the bottom of the door? When you say sealed, do you mean all but the drains?

The rest looks good.

Correct, all but the drains have been sealed. These doors will never be able to build up water in that area again. They will function as they were built to.

Thank you.

Keep something in mind here guys -- This car is not being built to be a SEMA show car. I just want it to be a nice clean replica. It won't be 100% original BY ANY MEANS.
