That will run awesome, I've got one sitting on a shelf in the garage waiting for the 446 to be finished. I had a D1SC Procharger on a small block that put out 800 hp on pump gas. Had the street manors of a stock motor. It was awesome. Good luck

I just read this entire thread...yes, all 192 pages of it. All I can say is WOW! I'm sorry you got taken on the car, and had to go through that hell to have it all redone, but I have to thank you for making this thread and making everything public. It's amazing that BK charged what they did to "build" that deathtrap, and it's a shame that it looks like they're still in business (they're website is still up anyway). Those idiots should not be allowed anywhere near a car. I believe I read that with the purchase of the car, and all the work that went into it, you still came in under the Brian's original purchase price of $70K...I would say you came out pretty well then, despite all the headaches and added cost. If I had the cash, I wouldn't hesitate to spend $70K on a Charger that's as well done as yours. The level of care, and quality of work that went into it is amazing, and it's well worth every penny you spent with the shops you had do the work. Kudos to you for not throwing in the towel during all of this, and seeing your dream through.

I'm curious though, and you don't have to answer, but was a connection ever established between the Bondo Kings and Brian? Was he selling the car for them, or was he really ripped off by them and just misrepresented the car to offload it? Did you ever pursue any legal action against him for misrepresentation?

jb666

Thanks for reading the saga...

As for Brian, I DO believe there was a connection between him and BK.. As in an "East Coast re-seller" type of situation, but at this point, I wish him all the best. When you screw people over for a living, Karma tends to get the best of you down the road

BTW, yesterday's event was AWESOME.. I spent over 15 hours polishing every square inch of my car. This is the show that, for the past 20 years, I've been saying "I'll have a General Lee in this show some day!".. And yesterday was my day... I took home first in my category, which consisted of all makes/models from 1969 thru 1982!!

Not sure if you guys can see these pictures, but here's the shots from the day.

I don't believe that for a second!~

Congrats on the trophy.

Thanks, Neal!

And for the record, I don't either, but I've been practicing that line with my wife.

Add that to the list:

1.  You look great.
2.  This tastes great.
3.  I don't know what I did but I'm sorry, and now
4.  The car is done.

Congrats Jeff, good to see the 'ol General Lee win a 1st place trophy in this day and age of '67-'69 Camaro's winning everything....

I AGREE!! The category I won had every make/model and BOAT LOADS of 'Maro's... I love the cars, but they are like belly buttons...

I can't remember, what gears are you currently running?

You'll love the GV.  You'll also find out who you can cruise with.

I run the fast lane now so I don't have to be in the slow lane.  Too many idiots merging & waiting until the last minute to get off.

Well the install is 100% complete, and I just picked up the driveshaft from being shortened (and brought it to Jon's shop).

Sorry for the crap quality, they were from my IPhone...

And, just when I thought there wasn't a BK nut or bolt left on the car, THINK AGAIN... The torsion bars.. They were "BK originals"... Never got taken out... Here's my torsion bar adjustment bolts...It's no wonder "adjusting" these was having no effect. :brickwall:

More pictures tomorrow...

So, I haven't asked in forever so have BK been held accountable or are they still in business respraying junkers for $75K??

When last I asked, I believe Skip indicated it was just a matter of time before they got their come-uppance.

I'll be 100% honest with you.. I don't know, and I don't care.. I think a lot of what was going on before was momentum of the events occurring.. I'm sure they are still ripping people off.
