I hauled a 70 Coronet R/T one owner surviver today.I have some pictures but need help posting them. The car was in good condition except for a dent in the front fender that happened two weeks ago while parked her friend's garage. She contacted my about a month ago to move the car home but decided to wait until the weather improved. :brickwall:One interesting thing I noticed about the engine is that it was externally balanced even though it was a 440 4 barrel. The owner said the motor was original and never changed.

You'll need to use a picture host. I use photobucket.com. Its easy and self explanatory (and free  :2thumbs: 'cept for the junk mail) you can the copy/paste from photobucket your pics to this site. Read photobuckets tutorials follow the instructions, they're very helpful. (Sorry for the thread hijack) All of the pictures that I put on this board, including the former one on this thread were put on here using photobucket.

Nice shot.
I'd demand something other than a FORD for a work truck though ;D.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Next task is getting the coupe fired up. Found some paper work on it for an alignment back in 96 so there's hope of getting that one going fairly easily too.

...One interesting thing I noticed about the engine is that it was externally balanced even though it was a 440 4 barrel. The owner said the motor was original and never changed.

Being that it's a '70 440 375hp motor, it has the big rods. Everyone practically calls them "six pack" rods, but the six pack had nothing to do with it. All 440 4bbls and 6bbls had the heavy rods, hence the counter weight added to the vibration dampner. '69 and earlier 440's all had the smaller rods, hence no counterweight.

TanTop.

In 1970, J would be a 340 six pack (AAR/T/A). To be a HEMI, it would be an R code car.

68 New Yorker, I don't know who owns this, but I would love to find out.

Hah! I know where this car is, that wall behind it is the back wall of a motel. :)
Good lookin' car really, I'm amazed it's still there.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

C_stripes

Yep. It's still there because he wants like $3500 for it.

Charger_Fan

Oh, I didn't know it was for sale. Is there a sign in it? I don't recall seeing one when I saw the car.

No sign,  you just have to know who to talk to. I thought it was a New Yorker. Turns out it is a 383 newport.

Saw a '73-'74 Duster drive past me tonight. White vinyl top and white side stripes (not 340 stripes). Pretty sure it was dark red. :drool5: :drool5:

Here's three beauties from a auto repair place in Copeland, KS. The charger has been there for at least 2 years, i called awhile back and they said it belonged to a customer.
