ok, I got myself 400 magnum that was pulled from a 72 charger before it was crushed, I also have a nice 440 crank and I have the 440 rods, now what is the easiest step by step process to make this 451 stroker?  What do I tell the machine shop to do to the crank, give me something I can bring to them.  I read 440 sources info but I am not sure exactly what to tell the machine shop i am taking the crank to,.

yah ok, but what needs to be done to this Crank, I obviously can't just slap it in my 400 block and put the engine to together, I need to know the measurements on what needs to be done to this crank????

the mains need to be cut down to to the 400 main size and thats about all that has to be done to the crank, however you will eith have to cut down your counter weights or do some light clearance work to the block.  andyf says if you cut the counter weights down to 7.25 then it makes it easier to balance
