As you folks know,  I just re-purchased my 71.   When I started lookin around,  I found a "relay" in the glovebox.   It seems my dad couldn't get the key buzzer to stop buzzing.  Now the horn doesn't work either.

Anyone ever have to fix something like that?  I could use some ideas.

As always,  thanks for your help.

The key buzzer and the horn relay are contained in the same can, if you want to kill the buzzer and retain the horn you can remove the cover and snip the wires to the buzzer and plug it back in.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I believe the relay has 3 prongs. On my 71 someone had just bent the prong for the buzzer over  so it wouldn't plug in.

71 to 73... I think "maybe" 70 with steering column switch have the double funtion device with 4 prongs ( 3rd gens lugged on top of fuse box ), three are the horn relay and one the key in buzzer.

74 is different with separated function devices... OEM horn relay is same size but 3 prongs also pluuged on top of fusebox, and key in buzzer is same device what sound when you have unfasten seatbelts or even if you  left on the lights and open doors.

this is the 71-73 key in buzzer/horn relay:

the three grouped prongs at the right are the horn relay function
the separated prong at the lef is the buzzer function

74 is the same without the separated   prong.

some aftermarket 74 relays horns are smaller with same 3 prongs and fit on fuse box the same. also fits on earlies but you won't have the key in buzzer
