I'm tossing around different seat ideas for my '69 Charger, but it's obviously not a simple thing because of the size of the car.. I've had suggestions from 2004+/- Jeep Grand Cherokee to 2006+/- Charger seats, but I've never seen anything but stock (or racing seats) in a Charger like mine..

Post your pictures if you're not running stock seats!!

Thanks

There are quite a few options in this thread, but I REALLY like the set out of the 04 NSX.

Comfort, no power, and I could have them recovered to match my interior.. Only problem is I'd like to see them IN a Charger before I do it.

Hey Jeff, my wife had these stitched together for my last birthday. They're European Recaro seats re-upholstered in a '69 Charger pattern.
I'll look for a pic of them installed in the car...

Wow!! Those are very nice!!!!

Cooperman

Thanks! I'm a lucky guy. Here's a shot of the seats installed, but the interior is far from complete.

Very nice! Those look great in there and I'll bet they provide a LITTLE bit more support (and comfort) over stock.

Cooperman

Ha! Yeah, just a little...  :yesnod: You going with tan or black?

I'm looking a head and searching for seats for my 68 as well. I'm not into the bucket racing style seats, they look out of place in most cars, unless they are full on customized cars. My car won't be, just slight improvements. I'd ideally like something that looked like stock with way better support, and something low too, not ones that sit like 5" form the headliner LOL. I'd like to keep my stock seats but 660 horses under the hood make the decision to be in full control and not sliding around, a simple one. I do like the looks of these. Decent support and they don't look too far off Charger seats, IMO. What do you guys think?? They are Jeep seats www.bestop.com/index.php?s=70 part # TrailMax™ II Pro seats. $318 each from Summit.

I too am doing an after market seat as well.  I think those jeep seats are too plain and I don't like the racing seats either.

Here's some I was leaning towards.....

I like those Procar seats @ Jegs. They look sweet. OEM looking (for an aftermarket) with stakes of hip/lumbar support.

Thanks for sharing. If anyone slams a pair of those in, be sure to let other see 'em!!  :popcrn:

I used 2008 charger srt-8 seats, I will be recovering them eventually, but for now they stay as they are. Its kinda nice having full power seats :nana:

Woah Ryan they looks bad ass in there!!

I take it from the yellow stitching they came from an '07 Super Bee?  Pretty rare seats you have there (1 of 1000)
What tracks did you use?

Oh yeah the car itself looks pretty cool as well

ya they are from a bee. I used the stock 08 charger tracks, and welded in some mounting brackets.

Are they the Recaro LXF Seats?  Thats the closest one i could find on their website.  $869 each  :P

EDIT:  I think i just found from searching on craigslist that they are just like these '91 CRX seats made by Recaro..  :scratchchin:

with the links posted, they made sure to point out that the seats could be reclined but no mention of them folding forward?

I do need comfier seats in my car but it's a MUST that they have to fold forward, otherwise my kid's seat isn't going to fit/going to be a total pain in the ass to put in!!

Sorry PT, I missed your question by about a month! I'm in England, so I pulled my seats from a small 2 door European Ford. If you choose a four seat two door sedan, they will almost certainly tilt as well as recline. You could try and find a pair from an '85 thru '89 Mercury Merkur XR4ti, they're essentially the same. (I've spoken to my upholstery guy and he's gonna 'redo' my headrests with a chrome band to emulate the original style.)
