a tad wingless but I've been working on the reassembly since last summer.  i did TONS of research on the car and a lot of refinishing.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Holy s**t! that is a NICE GTX!  :icon_smile_cool:
Nice work pettybird.

Car looks perfect.  :2thumbs:
There's probably hundreds of hours just in the research alone.
I know exactly how much work goes into one of these. I'm finishing up a matching numbers 67 hemi GTX 4-speed, Dana car. It's not much fun at this point. We're over restoring this one since the owner plans to keep it and drive it pretty regularly.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Completely agree with both statements.  I like to think that if I owned a car like that I'd beat it once in a while but I think the dollar signs would make me chicken out.

Thanks for the compliments.  the body shop got the car to me as a shell and it took a WHILE to finish the parts correctly and install them.

we moved facilities, and I got the car running and driving beforehand.  I wanted to show the boss (and a few others) the car was drivable but it was 11:30 at night and DARK.  I ended up going to McDonald's across the street and taking a cell phone pic of it next to the sign.  I took it through the drive through, too--I got some funny looks considering I was sitting on the floor of a car with no glass, interior, exterior lighting, etc etc etc.

on the driveway apron of the parking lot there are a couple of mysterious 10' long black lines made by some pretty skinny little tires.  I know nothin' but I wiped the quarters off juuust to be sure

we'll have this car at Carlisle in the for sale building to drum up restoration business.  we're taking one other car (probably a black on black 70 chally R/T we did) and we're taking two more cars for the A12 display.  those are the real stars--we're taking Project Six Pack which is currently being restored to 1974-75 specs when it set national records, and we're taking the very first A12 car built, an R4 road runner.

Holy smokes.  Absolutely fantastic. Wow.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
