Okay, I was looking at a PM in my inbox and I noticed this in the URL at the top of my screen...."pmsg=109645". Does that mean I've gotten 109,645 PM's? :o

Troy will chime in with the "real" answer, but I'm fairly certain that the PM you were looking at was the 109,645th PM sent on the site in total. 

If you hit the "quote" button to reply, in the address bar it should show the same PM number plus the User ID number (not the name) of the member who sent you the PM in the first place.

Whether or not a PM number is re-used or not if one is deleted, I have no idea.  Half of those PMs are probably to Troy asking how to resize pictures...
