what's the former Glen Peters' petty clone bird's VIN?

I may have found the person who has the original engine.  he took the motor out years ago and sold the car for the same $300 he paid for it.  yes, really.

I took his information and he took mine, and I told him where to look for the VIN and such.  he never bothered (20+yrs ago) to check the block.  i won't know more until next week, but he's got the motor in his V code A4 silver challenger (also yes really) but the car's not done yet and he's open to a swap at this point.  the motor is rebuilt at .030 over and ready to go.  i don't know what arrangements he'd make but he sounded open to (or at least close to) a near swap.

I know who currently has that car. And I believe I should have its vin.I will see if can email him this link.I do remember that car with the made up hemi valve covers on a 440.And Glen with his food colored antifreeze washer fliud refreshments.Wonder where his R4 daytona ended up

the drink mixes were in Vandergrift PA in 93...that was funny.

my favorite peters memory is taking his son around the 5 mile oval at Chelsea in 96--he was TERRIFIED.  glen had such a reputation for being crazy i couldn't believe how shaky the kid was!

the guy is assuming the motor he has is the bird motor but he'll confirm it when he gets back to the car (in about a week.)

Todays reply from Glen Peters superbird owner. He confirmed the vin I had

The VIN# is correct for the Bird. I don't know, without getting under the car, what engine is in it currently. I will get that info this weekend and send to you. I'm open to the swap as it would be great to have the original block. The current engine is strong and should be a straight drop-in .

I will be more than happy to hook up owners of motors with cars I meet randomly in the showroom over an abstract conversation not about wing cars!

I think there is something for the "Lost In Found" Engines and Transmissions as well as the build sheets on the Moparts website. :scratchchin:

On another I had talked to Glenn several years ago when I was thinking of buying that #43 Bird, pretty cool car.
