SYCO_500

Hey guys here is a beter pic of the wheels on the charger. i am going to change the front tyres to suit the rear and run ET 5 window high angle. use to have these in black. they are a vintage look but still unique on muscle cars. and the tyres rub with 3 people in the car, if i lifted it half an inch i would be right but looks to good as it is to change it. 28x13 micky thompsons un tubbed with the diff shortened.

currently the car is getting mini tubbed to get it a bit lower plus fitting a 4 link. the floor in the boot and wheel tubbs are rusted to i dont mind cutting it up, i got a facebook page of my Garage where I will post regular updates of how it is going.

Hey thank you also for clearing up the generations dual fours now I know.. And thank you Fy469rtse I guess I got lucky when I seen the ad in the big nickel years ago.. It was in a barn when I picked it up.. 2 years is a long time but that's something to be proud of... At least I think so. I'd be scared to attempt body work!  Syco that's impressive what you got

Bulleteater, did it come (to you) with the wire wheels?
At first I though you had Center Lines, then I looked a little closer at the rear wheel.
The gold paint would be sharp.
Glad you found the car, you'll be proud of your Charger. :2thumbs:

Ha yes I did get it with the wire wheels I left the wire on the back to give it the "look" haha I've been thinking about some fancy wheels but... Do you like the wire wheels? One part of me thinks they look like grandpa's car but the old fashioned part of me really likes them haha well after I had the motor rebuilt and got the trans rebuilt I have a few more bugs but I've loved It and a proud owner of my dream car

Bulleteater, I do not like the looks of the wire wheels, they look vintage to me, although kind of a dressed/classied up option, maybe I'm just not use to wires on anything other then a small sports car. Wheels just may be the hardest thing to decide on. Hey, I have 15" chrome wagon wheels, and yes there is a reason for them also :slap:.
I still have the factory Rally wheels. More photos of your Charger would be nice, thank you.

Syco 500 , nice car those photos do it so much more justice, are those polished hail brands on the back ? Anyway love the way they look , even the fronts I like, they have that old school drag racer look about them , it's a tough looking car  :2thumbs:

It sure is an interesting color combo isnt it?

bulleteater

Haha yeah quite interesting.. Gold green blueish White  ;D

The gold and green I can see or the gold with the white top but the three together I wouldn't have thought of if I had ordered one new.

bulleteater, your gold 69 looks cool, I wonder how many other 69 Chargers came though with that color combo?
Looks like somebody liked stickers on the windows, the look of a racecar, I doubt if grand pa did them.
Around here, circa 1979, the Cops would fine us for each sticker on the window, in summer we would roll down the windows when cruising around town, then removed them when winter came.
Seems that you have a very good platform to start with.
Thanks for sharing photos.

Yeah I've wondered that many times. I have friends that tell me to paint it orange and turn it into a dukes car.. But I like the gold :icon_smile_big:.. Haha yeah I'm the one that liked the stickers another thing I did when I was young I wanted to have a high output motor and race but man those tickets get expensive lol the cops really give you a ticket for each sticker? Yeah I guess I do have a decent platform and ever since I bought it it's been a learning experience lol thank you
Brant

Ghoste

Yeah keep the gold, it's just too seldom seen to cover it up.

bulleteater

That's kind of what I thought... I've been going through the pages and I'll be honest it's like looking at car porn the good stuff! And so far your right gold didn't seem to be that popular of a color.. But I will take some advice and get new wheels  :icon_smile_big:

Not a popular color??? but very sharp in deed!!! Found this gold Charger for you.
Back in the days, chevy's were popular, every normal motor head kid had one, I needed to be different, abnormal, I got a Charger SE, and I sent them home crying to there mommy's, it's funny how there ex-girlfriends would gravitate to the Charger that next weekend when you were sitting at the local hamburger joint. (I think they were there to be spy's)
