Hey all, I'm not sure this is where I should introduce myself with my first post, hopefully it's all good.
I'm new to the dodgecharger forum and just added a '69 R/T to my collection. I don't have her in my possession yet but it should be delivered shortly. I've had a Challenger Resto-mod for about 5 years now and thought this addition would be a great fit. I don't expect it to handle and respond as the Challenger does but I'm looking forward to the authenticity of beautiful muscle car from that era.
There are some really sharp looking Chargers on this forum, I hope she fits in.

She fits in Beautifully. Welcome aboard.

The Road wheels are original to the car, but the tires the previous owner installed where just basic little donuts. Wayyyy to small in diameter. I thought about putting F-70-14's on the RT but went ahead and put these Torque Thrust II's on the car. I had them on a 68 I once owned and really like the way the car looks with this setup. 15x7 245 60 15 up front and 15 x 8 275 60 15 out back. Great stance and fills up those massive wheel wells. I just went with 3.75" back spacing because I like a deep dish look. The car is originally Red...the Garnet Red color with a black tail stripe. The son of the original owner painted it Orange. I bought the car from the second owner and have known this car since I was 16. Local SC car with 29K miles. It's a pleasure to drive, and enjoy that Carter 750 CFM kick in!

Hi - My name is Matt and Im based in The UK ( England ) This is my first post so i thought i would introduce myself and my car to you guys.....

The car is a 69 Charger R/T 440 ( A33 ) 4 speed Track pack which Ive restored to more or less original condition. I purchased the car from Sweden in January this year and Ive spent 5 months getting the car to the condition it deserves to be in. I have been searching for an R/T for about 10 years on and off but in The UK they are extremely rare and very, very expensive !! This car was based in a town near Stockholm, Sweden so i made the round trip of 3000 miles in my truck / trailer and brought her back to the UK on a ship crossing ( Rotterdam to Hull ) The car was a little neglected but very solid and original. We stripped her down to a rolling shell and renovated the bodywork to a very high standard. Lots of new parts were purchased from the USA and shipped over. The interior and engine bay were also refurbished. I kept the original gauges in a box but replaced them with more modern / accurate ones for peace of mind on long journeys.

I did a little research on the car and tracked down 2 of the previous owners from the USA. One guy was called Ken Barnett ( Barnetts Bodyshop 1212 Cedar run rd Blacksburg VA ) who purchased the car from Salem in the 1990's. He replaced a lot of the panel work and then ran it for a while in primer. He then sold the car to a gent called David Shephard in the same town. David then spent 2 years building the car to a very high standard. He then sold it to the first owner in Sweden in 2005. From 2005 up until Jan 2015 the car has covered only 1900 miles !! I managed to trace and speak with David and the previous owners daughter ( Beth Barnett ) and had a nice chat via email with them both. Ken Barnett unfortunately passed away but Beth told me a little bit about the car and the fun memories she had of her father who was a big Mopar fan.

I have wanted a Charger since i was 6 years old. In my opinion its the best looking car ever built. If you were to place a brand new Bentley in front of me or a Charger R/T i would take the Charger all day long - Nothing else comes close  :icon_smile_big:

Here are a few pics of the car ............

No, they were taller after a mid year parts change.

35years, I hope you don't mind but I took a peek at your photo page.

Hot linked the pix so they're big, sorry.

Here is my 70 Charger I just picked up yesterday from Oklahoma. I traded my 1972 Plymouth Scamp 360 4 speed for it. I cant wait to get started on it, the Charger came with a 30 over 440 and everything to put it back together. Previous owner installed over $6,000 worth of new AMD sheetmetal on it and was overwhelmed and wanted a car that ran and drove. So I made the 650 mile trip one way to do a swap. It is my dream car and finally got one
