Is the roof and sheetmetal around the windshield and rear window the same on 72 and 73? Thanks.

Nacho-RT74

roof are the same all along the 3rd gen years on all models.

front windshield pillar post are the same, cowl area also the same. Firewall... winshield itself.

about rear... with exception of C pillar on quarter window area rest is the same. Top, sides and bottom. also glass of course.

C pillar even is different as complete section, you can cut the sheet metal around the rear glass area. so, partially, the C pillar is "interchangeable" close to rear glass.

I thought that the 72 se had a roof (line) all to itself. that year SE sure looks different to me.

twilt

same roof on the 72 SE., the factory simply  used body plugs, reducing the 1/4 window surface area, to give it that unique  look.
