Anyone Made Custom Side Marker Lights for a 1969 ? ? ?

I am sick of reflectors.   I just know some clown is going to hit me.

Is there *ANY* way to get side marker lights into a 1969?   Are there *ANY* cars out there that have dimensions that would work?   I'm not worried about originality one bit as long as it "looks" right.

 I have never seen any and would be shocked if some one did. Not the tha same but you could make a 70 work. But if a idots miss's the stock one, I don't think the lite one will help.

Sorry but I think side marker lights show much brighter than reflectors.   Maybe I just need new reflectors.  LOL.

My Regal side lights are great.   Want the same for my Charger.

Someone here DID add bulbs to the reflectors.  Shouldnt be too hard.   You have to drill out the housings and the lense backing and add a socket & bulb somehow......

Isn't the lense backing coated on there?

Any ideas how to get this stuff off?

 On the back there are two pinch pins, push them to gather (more than likely will break). Then use a screw driver and start prying genteelly and it will come out.

You will need part of a housing from a light marker light. Maybe a old 4 door dart from a junk yard. Find some that is close or little smaller and rivet to the back of the 69 backing. Main thing is you need to get the buble away from the lense so it wont touch.

So the backside of the reflector will allow light through it no problem, eh?

 Only guessing, but I say 85% chances it will. OK, just did it with a flash light and there was some light that came thru but not a lot.

There is a thin yellow backing say 1/8" thick. If you taked that down a little, light should get thru better. If you like I could send it you to bucther, I mean experiment with.
