:drool5: I love that car! It's absolutely beautiful! I am a bit confused though. Maybe this car has been discussed before, but here is my question...I know some of the early 500s had the XS vin instead of XX. My September 29th car has XS on the fender tag but does have the XX on the vin tag. It also has the A11 code which this blue car does not. Do the XS vin cars not have the A11 code? And is Galen's 559 a legit number? :shruggy:

I was just thinking the same thing as that was the first thing i looked for.  It was built 4 days before my car and i had the XX vin and A11 on the tag.   :shruggy:

I guess I needed to read a little closer, I just answered my own question. I read Galen's note:

QuoteNOTE: The dash VIN and fender tag do not identify this vehicle as a real Charger 500, this is the only 500 I
have found that is not identified by VIN or fender tag, only by the VON and assembly as a Charger 500.

yep that is correct now that you mention it.  VON 925416
my car was 925410

I saw this car at our big Mopar show at Ohlone College in June, and I could have sworn I took a picture of the fender tag and it said it was an automatic car (even though it did have the 4-speed in it).  Now I'll have to dig it up when I get home.  It is definitely a beautiful car, but I did make note of some minor issues (things incorrect, or just not done perfectly) they could have done better on it for this type of car.

I don't think they are meant to be different cars, unless it is a coincidence that both owners are named John Fox.  :scratchchin: I've attached the entry placard from the J code B5 500 at the '09 Ohlone show showing the owner's name. Something is not right....

Same owner, two completely different cars. Oddly enough though both cars were in Florida for a long time as well, and not that far apart from each other.

The car with XS is not the only one to be XS everywhere on the car. I can attest to at least 2 others.

Could it be they are two completely different cars, or that something fishy is going on here?   :shruggy:

I have nearly the identical pics, and that is the fender tag I referred to in my earlier post.  Note it's an auto (D32), but the car did have a 4-speed in it.

Odd, most definitely! I am aware that it's a super rare and desirable car, but isn't strange that it current bid is at $90,000 after day one????

69_500

I'll say it again. Two different cars in this thread. Both HEMI 500's, both B5 blue with blue interiors, but 2 different cars, SAME OWNER.

Yes, we know...some of us do read the previous threads.

Makes perfect sense being two different cars. On a casual first glance they look identical, though! Kudos to the restorer(s).  :2thumbs:

This Hemi 500 though is right in line with a few Hemi 500's all in a row.   210731,  210733,  210734, 210736,  (210737this car,)  210740 and 210742 are all Hemis.  The missing cars between all these I don't have on file.    Looks real with that correct von  9##### number

I am talking about the topic car.  The other car has a fake tag so any ones guess on that one to what is really was.
