Probably no TV coverage.   Have not heard from onebadsuperbird, but he has offered footage for past meets.  But I have not heard if he is coming.

Kismgby

I don't believe OBS is coming down.  The timing is interfering with his Holiday video sales.   :'(

I am pretty sure that I'll be coming down toting some video equipment. Depending on actually how much decent footage I wind up with, I might put a DVD together for resale. Question, how many would want one on a Blue Ray in HD? I'm guessing it wouldn't be a very large portion of the people so i might leave the HD camera at home.

I would take one on Super 8 or Beta   ;D   so I'm good with whatever you do!

I can also go the route of Super 8, Hi-8, Mini DV, Beta, VHS, or DVD, or blue Ray. See what happens when you keep buying all the video equipment as it comes out of the years. I actually have some old 8mm film footage of the Mopar Nationals in 1981. It was actually shot on an experimental camera from RCA at the time that my dad "borrowed" through my uncle who was in charge of testing new equipment for RCA back in the late 70's early 80's.

If somebody records the event on what ever system I would buy a copy. Rob.

The car no longer has the Hemi in it from long ago.  While I was looking at the car with a friend of mine, I was telling him what I knew about the car.  I was telling him that it was a Nichels built car.  I then said that I thought it might still be the original dash in it.  About that time, a man who was standing on the other side of the car spoke up and said that it was indeed the original dash.  He then said that once belonged to his "old man".  I asked "Did your dad purchase the car from Ramo?" and he replied "No, Ramo Stott is my dad".  How cool is that!?  Anyways, he told me man cool stories on the car from when his dad had it.  He kept the car until the late 80s/ early 90s.  According to him, up until the, the car was just as it was when it was last raced.  The car was still wearing #47 at the time of the sale.  The new owner repainted the body back to it's original appearence... with the #7.  Some time after the car was sold, the owner was driving it and something went wrong with the original race Hemi.  What happened??  I'm not 100% sure.  I'm not so sure on the history of the engine that is currently in the car either.  Maybe Doug can shed a little light on the details of the engine.

There was a brief period when they were talking about racing below the yellow line that you could see the parade cars on the track. There was a red superbird and a couple more cars I couldn't tell what they were for sure. The cars were way down low on the track below the yellow line going slow and quite spread out.

The70RT

Instead of talking about the same thing over and over they should show the brief parade lap  :shruggy: ....they would rather talk about the chicken car or halloween.
