A Bobby Issac # 71 clone , yes I know there are a  few but this one will be as close as possible including race int and gauges , rolled and flared wheel wells , 528 Hemi  . I was hoping you werent able to sell the Daytona and i would be able to come take a look at it next year. :'(

I figure my Bird will be finished by then and I could try and wrangle up a Daytona project.

good luck on whatever project you take on next! :2thumbs:
wingless now, but still around.

I sold my Daytona clone as well so I can't hold your selling yours against you. Not that I did anyway.  ;D

Larry,
Seeing as how you are intending to build a reasonable facsimile of Issac's ride, maybe you might want to consider this option:

Rather than pick up somebody elses' rustbucket, why not build a Charger from scratch?

Since the NASCAR Daytonas were essentially a tube-frame on top of generic B-body framerails, why not start with a four-door, or maybe even a Coronet two-door?
Really, all you need is the 'A' pillars and firewall.

All of the required Charger metal could be sourced - rust free - from AMD. Then buy yourself an English wheel and build the nose and rear window plug.

Just an idea. :scratchchin:

If only I had $5k.  I'd like a Daytona clone, myself.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

He says..."I really do not want to cut this car up."

It looks like it's too late for that!
