I just sand blasted my air cleaner and I am planning on painting it tonight with crinkle paint.  Should I prime it first or just spray the crinkle paint on bare metal?

or you can powdercoat it, check FastbackJon's thread on here, he had his done for only $30, its good deal, but if you decide to paint it anyways yes do primer it, let coats dry too before adding another one

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I don't know what wrinkle paint you plan on using, but I did 3 different air cleaners using the parts store duplicolor spray on truck bead liner.  I don't know how correct looks, but it's tough as nails and really easy to do.  I hit it with a medium gloss clear when I am done and it really holds up.

Obviousely, if you are doing a full blown resto there are better choices, but for driver/cruise night car, it works great.
