The inaugural event at the old drive in across from the FDR home/musem in Hyde Park NY.    It was hot and sticky today no doubt.
I got a second place Best Mopar Musclecar trophy.   1st went to a dude's '68 Coronet R/T 10.90 racecar.  I didn't mind losing to that.

My friend Jack's GTX :  2nd place at Carlisle this year.  He won best Musclecar.

Anotehr dude's RR,   and Speedo's old man's pretty dam correct American Graffiti clone coupe - took 2nd for pre ww2. cars.

I wasn't alone like usual.   I've heard about this 392 Hemi '68 for a few years.   I finally saw it.    Needs some work but it's cool just like the owner.

Oh yeah... one of them funny looking cars was there too.

I had a decent enuf time considering my alternatives.    Got caught in a little sprinkle on the way home.  Car needs a wash now anyway.

1.  Nice little details on that coronet.  Underhood looks really clean.
2. You let a trophy sit on your gorgeous paint?   :o
3.  I had to read your post again to figure out if that '32 was the original or not.  That thing's a really, really accurate clone.  Anybody there with a black '55 Chevy?  :icon_smile_big:

Nick,   I put a very small towel underneath the trophy -   I did a good job folding it up   ;D

The '32 is really. really accurate...   The Milner dude signed the car awhile back when it and the supposed "real" graffiti coupe were at Marcus Dairy in Danbury.   It's even got the 4 x 2's man-a-free intake.    And it's dam fast!
Edit - found older motor pic.

And yeah,   I believe I saw a black '55 Chevy there -   anybody you know?    ???

Thanks Jen!!!!    You're still the bestest!

That's better.   ;)

I think I still have an old issue of Street Rodder lying around that has the "original" 32 featured in a huge, multi-page colored spread.  That one literally looks identical.  That's awesome.

I don't know anybody with a black '55 Chevy in New York, but if there was one there it needed to line up next to the '32 for posterity.  :icon_smile_cool:

Thanks for the great pics. Love your car, Brian. I used to own [back in the 80's] a 70 SE 383 4 Speed Trip Black Charger, till a tree jumped out in the middle of the road and crashed into me :icon_smile_big:  Damm Trees! :rotz:

BTW, Here's a pic of the 55' From American Grafitti.

That's the work of an eccentric local Poughkeepsie NY race car fabricator.    The whole deal seals up to the bottom of the 6 pack hood scoop fairly well.

Nah...    it's allright.   That Coronet is sharp.   I'm grateful to win anything.

Me and the Coronet got put into post-WW2 class instead of musclecar class anyway cause of the old guy at the register table.    I don't know what would have happened if we were all in musclecar class that Jack won.    All I know is that a bunch of chevies went home sad.

Same thing I was thinking! I love one-off trick wazoo things like that. :2thumbs:

I'm also wondering what's under the chrome cover to the left of the master cylinder? Is it covering up something other than the bulkhead wires?

Thanks for sharing the pics & congrats on your trophy!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
