Hi,

Is there a way to test a ignition switch out of the car? (68 Charger).

Thanks

Jeroen.

check for continuity.

feed the red wire prong... check the plug to know what one it is, even I think is labeled with a B on back of switch, since is the input.

Then blue and black wires are contant feeded on ignition 1 position ( RUN ). No continuity on brown and yellow.

Brown and yellow wires are only feeded on ignition 2 position ( START ) no continuity on others.

Note... mounted on car, brown and blue are allways hot when you put on ignition 1 or 2 position because they are joined on ballast resistor, but that's another stuff. inginiton witch only feed those on those moments
