Man, if you guys didn't see the hard hit today during the Saturday Night Showdown at Bristol, you missed one of the most violent t-bones.. Thank GOD Charlie Glotzbach and Larry Pearson are doing well... Larry spun out, drifted down the track and Charlie t-boned him almost full throttle into the driver's door.. Both were knocked out with the impact... Charlie climbed out with assistance and Larry had to be cut-out. David Pearson, Larry's famous Dad and also racing, terminated his race to be with his son at the hospital..

The race was a fundraiser for charity of legends of racing... The race included:
David Pearson, Larry Pearson, Harry Gant, Rick Wilson, Cale Yarborough, Charlie Glotzbach, Dave Marcis, Tommy Houston, L.D. Ottinger, Jack Ingram, Phil Parsons and Jimmy Hensley

Junior Johnson drive the pacecar..

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Yeah, it really scared me when the crew members were frantically trying to get the paramedics attention to come down to Charlie's car like something was seriously wrong. Then when the commentators wouldn't comment for 10 - 15 minutes on anyone's condition or show a replay I was convinced someone died.  I was watching it on my DVR and backed it up to see how violent that crash was and it was incredible that they're both alive.
One things for sure, they're both gonna be sore tomorrow!
I love the smell of nitro in the morning.

I thought he fell out earlier in the race because of mechanical problems? :icon_smile_question:

Glad to hear some of the updates. I hope that Charlie gets better as I'm still hoping to see him at the monster mopar weekend again this year. Its always a pleasure to sit down with him and chit chat about what NASCAR was like before I was born.
