Ordered on May 11th and the UPS man dropped them off today.

Looked in our paint computer at work and PPG doesn't have a formula for LL1 in Global line we spray. I'll have to call our paint supplier and get paint mixed by them.

Tires came last week, went with Firestone Firehawks. After the last email from BFG it didn't sound good for the 295/50's seeing production.
Going to mount the tires before the wheels are painted and test fit them tonight.

Here is what they look like now, I'll post more pics as I make progress.

Here are some pics I took while test fitting.

This is the old wheels, see how they don't fill up the wheel well.

295's mounted

They tuck in there nicely

Have the wheels prepped, just waiting to get them sprayed, hopefully today.

charger2fast4u

how close are they to the leaf springs? and to the inside of the outer fender lip?

Haven't measured exactly, I'd say an inch on the wheel opening lip and inner wheel house.  They are a good 1 to 1 1/2 from the springs.

Mounted and balanced at lunch today. Paint is still a little fresh yet, so they are getting another "bake cycle" out in the sun.
If I had a dollar for every time someone said "now all you need to do is fix the rust" I'd have enough for a rotisserie resto!

The rims and tires look good.  The Oktoberfest banner has me drooling for something else, only a month and a half left till it's back in the store. :drool5:

Those look amazing! What is the offset on those? :drool5:

was going to wait to post a pic of the wheels and tires on the car after it got a wash and scrub the blue off the white letters...but here they are anyway. Drove it out of the garage before work and snapped a few quick photos.

The green came out a little darker than I had hoped. The top coat was sprayed over black sealer, that might have had a darkening effect. The paint wasnt mixed at the shop so we couldnt tint it to make it lighter. So thats the way it is.

Thanks! Actually more noticeable in the sunlight, that's why these pics were taken in the shade.

Looks SUPER! I like that color too!  :2thumbs: Let us know how it runs out with the new rims, no balance/vibration issues? (That's very close to how I want the rim/tire set-up to be on my 70!)  :drool5:

Looks very nice, i don't care for the bodybuilder on ice skates look. The fatter the better! :2thumbs:

They look great. Did you have to supply the centers for the wheels or did Stockton make them?  You aren't running a five inch backspace on the front are you? I've got 15X10s on mine  and with a 4" backspace  they JUST clear the upper control arm by 1/4 inch.

Thanks!
Stockton can widen your existing wheels or provide new ones.  I got new ones, never checked the price of widening vs new, figured by the time I ship them my old wheels be money ahead to get new.  Yes they have a 5" backspace on the rear only, the front are just the stock 15X7 Mopar cop wheels.  Didn't measure the backspace on the stock wheels.
Your running 10" wide wheels on all 4 corners?  What size rubber is on that?

Patronus

Real nice in body color!! What size rear tire is that?
