superbird safety catch????

ok. I have a question. That safety latch thing on the superbirds. What car did they take that off of to use on the birds?? And are there any small numbers stamped on them that tells its for superbirds>?>>????

If you are talking about the "Fang" that is bolted to the hood and hooks to the latch tray, it is a 1970 Chrysler C body.  Dodge and Plymouth C bodies are different.  Look for a New Yorker or such.  The spring is the same.  The tiny numbers on it are the date code.
