Building a new Daytona soon - my color? something diff

Going to be building another Daytona #10. I'm not fond of metallics so that narrows it down. I have already done red, yellow, black, HEMI O, white, so I'm going to jump outside the box with a color I have never seen on a Daytona. It will be a modern color. I'm looking at a 2010 mustang (Grabber) blue. I have also seen a 72 Challenger Blue similar color to this. It will have similar wheels to my yellow Daytona with a light tan interior with a white wing. Do not like Petty Blue. Is there other blues out there that you could suggest? I do not try to make my Daytona's as originals. I'm a car designer and custom guy, but I also like to keep the fundamentals of the car true and clean, yet with a slight edge so as to not be just another stock car out there. I may even consider molding the nose to the fenders and valance with no seam - will do this in a way that will never crack. Or mount the nose like the Bird with an even tighter seam.

whatever you pick, I'm sure it will be awesome.

Good luck on the build!

If you're looking at Ford colours Dane, they have a really killer dark blue....

what is the code for Super Blue?

I think I found it. B3 Super Blue  2423 I would like to keep the color in the Family - will compare to Grabber Blue

Dane..
I think the Grabber Blue you have in your original post is an excellent choice. It's soft yet yells out for notice, especially with a white stripe/wing and interior.

Good luck on your eventual decision..........

BMW Laguna Seca Blue : very nice. I will be doing a paint chip comparison on them all. I may lean to the deeper blue of them all...I don't know. Keep up the help I appreciate it.

Just took this today

OK two more.  These are a couple of cars at the specialty car dealership I work for.

Ford GT Heritage paint scheme.  The blue is a lot softer than Grabber.

And I know you said no metallic, but this is designo Magno Platinum, a matte color from the factory.

A matt finish??????? That is it what we call "no clear coat". Ha ha. I could get away with murder with poor body work. 150K - wow, that is crazy. Keep it comin'

sticker price is over 180k...I don't buy 'em ;)

the car looks really cool in person, though.  and think of all the money you'd save on wax!

The first pic in the thread kinda looks Petty Blue to me.....but I am a little color blind...

B3 is Ice blue Metalic in 70....kinda silvery-blue.

B7 is a rare color and looks great.

I think the baddest color on a 'Tona is black.

What about the blue Petty put on his Challanger creation?

My original window sticker says DT8805 and the build sheet shows PY8805. Have the paint store look it up under just 8805 as well or they can usually look it up under the color name. Use both Impact Blue and Super Blue. I like the color. It looks even better than in the photots.
