1971 GTX!!!!
I just love this car, but I don't know if I could part with my 2nd Gen to own one.  Would you?  What's your thought of the 71/72 RR and GTX cars.  One thing the Charger beats this car is the dash.  :Twocents:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Oh man that would be a hard one. Ive always loved that body style. I would say if the deal is right then I probably would.

Current MoPars:

1975 Dart Swinger. 225 Pops daily ride.
1990 Dodge Ram. 360FI My daily ride.
2007 Magnum R/T. 5.7 Family wagon.

No, nice car but not over a second gen. Most on here will share the same opinion.....of course though since this is Charger forum. Now if you could trade a lesser car for it maybe then but not one that was in equal shape.  :Twocents:

I like the 3rd gen GTX, but the only 2nd Gen charger I own now is the Daytona.  So, that would be a No :rotz:

Nope, I wouldn't trade or sell my charger for a GTX. They don't even come close to a charger in my book.

nope, now if it was a hemi,4 speed, lime green 70 i would in a heartbeat.

I would because it's in better more complete shape than mine and a 4 speed.  I love my car but I also love other Mopars, so if the trade was fair I'd do it for the change and fun.  As long as I have some cool Mopar in the garage.  In this case, that car is worth more than mine so that ain't happening.  It's on eBay at this moment.

Here's a 6 pack car for 40k that went for 60k a while back.

Plus a picture of a 72.

I love 100% of the 69 Charger.  I love most things about the 71/2 style GTX.  It would be the 4 speed and air grabber that makes them kinda equal.  I think?  :P

Now to swap out for a Hemi Charger, or Daytona?  Never.

Now see if I had YOUR car Chris then my earlier answer would have been much different.  You were right not to trade.

Just 6T9 CHGR

I agree....BUT I do get tempted now & then.....the 71 GTX is a close second for me

It wasn't a swap, trade, but I could have got my hands on a 71 GTX Curious yellow about 3 years ago for $4k.... It was a very clean shell with most parts minus the drive train, but had to pass.  I do like the style, but would rather have a 71 Superbee versus a GTX at this time.

Nice car though........

If I only had more $$ and space.................... :RantExplode:

I absolutley LOVE '71 Roadrunners and GTXs. Would I trade my Charger for one? Not in a million years. One day my Charger will have one of those beside it though!
