I wouldn't even bother having the dents taken out of that car. However, some engine bay pics and a peek under the carpet and trunk floor mat would be nice.

From the auction:

" I do think the best thing to do with this car would be to clean and detail this car top to bottom, use a paintless dent doctor to remove the dents and dings and see if it is possible to keep this car original, after all, they are original only once!!! "

I think that's exactly what I'd do.  I'd have a blast cleaning/detailing that car out.

Still wouldn't make you a real car guy/cooter

I wouldnt restore nothing on the car. Maybe put some old school mag wheels on it, and thats all I would do.

I'm going to watch this auction with interest as I too have a original survivor 68 Charger R/T, 37K miles. I'm always trying to get a feel for what the buying public thinks about the value of original unrestored muscle cars.
My car also was parked from the mid 80's until a friend of mine bought from the original owners family in 1999. I was able to buy it from him in 2006. My first intent was to detail the engine compartment, but I decided to leave it just as it was and now I so glad that I did.
This car 69 R/T is cool, and I'm not trying to brag but, mine is much cleaner. I'm sure that is do to the much lower miles that I have.  The bidding is at $20K with 5 days to go. I'm wondering how high the reserve is?

Charger-Bodie

I would give my left of something I was born with for the 69 in question........... I would give both of them for that red  68 R/t .
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............
