I saw this car advertised somewhere .while back and saw the vin was very odd as being low in sequence for a daytona.And this is whats come up about this car..
And the numbers as evidence .So in my opinion and others this is not a daytona.You want to spend big bucks on

.XX29L9B155758 = title = altered
XP29G9B155758 = original car

Car is in CA, being advertised as Daytona.   Has fiberglass nose and wing.   Owner says it's "all correct and original, and all Daytona's were made that way".   Car has no fender tag, broadcast sheet, or dash plate.   Car is not even a Charger 500; it's just a total fraud.

Where did the VIN#s come from then if the car has no data plate,broadcast sheet or dash plate??? Just because the car is missing all of these does not mean it wasnt originally a wingcar.
Unless I am missing something obvious here....

But I would also proceed with caution when someone is advertising a potentially high dollar mopar that does not have documentation to back it up. :yesnod:

Wait a min.
XX29 states the car isn't even a 500, i seriously doubt anyone would be much fooled with the rear windowbeing  stock, that is the case  right?.  :-\

Ghoste

I believe it was RT Barnum (PT's brother) who said, "you can fool some of the suckers everytime just by telling them it's safe to part with their money".  Or something like that.

Well, the VIN is way too low to be a Daytona.  With only one exception, Daytona VIN's are 355101 and higher.  IF ANYTHING it would be a C500, and it was pointed out at the beginning of this thread that the car was previously recorded or known to have been a 383-2bbl (G9B) engined car, so could never have been either a Daytona or a 500.  The whole point is that the car is a fraud.  The fact that the owner is trying to persuade potential buyers that legit Daytonas came with fiberglass wings and noses would be enough of a reason for anyone to steer clear of spending big bucks on anything he's selling.

Yep, re-read the above post regarding the fiberglass pieces. I agree. What a sham!

Whatta' ya' mean "what?"? ::)
He means that XX29 signifies that it would be a 500 or Daytona. XP would make it a standard Charger.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

You said XX29 states the car isn't even a 500, and i concur, all 500s and Daytonas "should" start with XX29.....

but i see what you're saying....
"Liberalism is a disease that attacks one's ability to understand logic. Extreme manifestations include the willingness to continue down a path of self destruction, based solely on a delusional belief in a failed ideology."

Ghoste

Keep in mind that some early 500's did not come through with all of the XX markings in place yet.
