I have them out of the mechanism,
but run out of slack when the window still has an inch or two to go.

Is there a location or routing it is supposed to clip in the door panel?

74 RR,
it has the same chrome dual sport mirrors (well on the driver's side anyways, it is missing the passenger, non remote one)
as for a Charger

Not sure if it's the same as my Charger. Here is a pic of my 72 driver door. There are two spots for it to clip in. One under the top hinge and one on the side. I have the holes marked with a sharpie. I would think the passenger side would be routed the same way.

there are two little black clip things on the cables, I was hoping they were for the routing.
