a few for the ed roth fans

when this wingcar collection started around twenty years ago, who knew how big it would get. if i had, the investment could have went for a repro front end for the daytona instead. wonder if jack mcgaughey would be interested in a trade...

ertl got the color wrong.  their 'tor red' is very much rally red (FE5.)  you can buy one, but I figured I'd give you a heads up that it's wrong before you shipped it halfway around the world.

Are those Carreras of the #02 and #55 now available or are we still waiting?

the first one (the 1 of 1000 car) is the wrong color, as doug pointed out. the later release is accurate, but only 402 were made. DiecastDeals.com, out of Florida, released the car (in 2005, i think). Their old website now links back to their ebay store, which does not show one listed. I'd drop them a message, and see if perhaps they could still have one around. The Ertl model number is 29492, if that helps to search for one.

the website said october availability, so they should be close, if not already in stock. looks like both "evolution" and "digital" chassis versions will be released. you should see all four versions, on this page

The modern Carrera cars are 14.8 volt, so I think they will still run on an older 12v system.   You might have to file down the guide flag.   I think Carrera offers a replacement guide for legacy type tracks.   The Carrera Evolution series is the older conventional style slot car system.

I have that Carrera track, I set it up about once a year and race myself!

Not miniatures - but cool puzzles.  Something Bryan and I had made up of our cars and some friends cars here in the northwest.

Actually, I have wanted that Carrera set since it came out in 2005 or so.    Some friends threw me a surprise 50th b-day party last weekend and presented me with it.    Brent and Sherri drove up from southern Illinois too.   Now we have to have ANOTHER party to play with the slot cars.      Hey Scott, your basement is WAY too clean...

Thanks Doug, this is just the corner I cleaned out so I could "play". Since this pic was taken  have accumulated a few more (few as in about 3, unlike some of the awesome collections picured above) cars to play with as well!
