Agree, my favorite as well.  I have one going onto my car shortly.  They also made one for A-Bodies that looks like this woodgrain, but comes in interior colors (has the same metal 3-spoke and center section).  I have one listed in the on-sale forums in black that will need some resto for a show car, would be ok for a driver.

I love the new wood 'tuff wheels' they make now. I have an original tuff wheel in my 73 (with black foam on the wheel), but I have just about decided I got to get one of these wood ones for my 69, good price too...$160, you can't have an original wheel restored for that. Also not its got two mounting patterns, you can use an original tuff wheel adapter, or just use a normal Grant steering wheel adapter.

I've been thinking of getting that one too, except in black instead of wood. Unless I could find a Mopar wheel like the one below for less than $1,000. Well, a lot less.

Those recall wheels are pretty!
Here's mine - a tuff wheel from a Mirada (has the baseball stitching which I like better than the 90 degree stitching). Not original but was available in 1970 so fine for me.

You'll probably need the install kit too in order to wire the horn.  Not sure of the part number but I can probably locate it later.  They're pretty cheap.

i got the same as  Rob  S81 wood grain    like it  ,  would, only consider putting a factory Wheel in ! but thats just me im nutts like that ! but if i had to have another type

Hmm, your taste in steering wheels is the total opposite of mine. Don't take it personal but I think the wheels you picked (especially the first one) should never be seen in a Mopar.  

If you really want those steering wheels get a ricer

That's what I think too! Old cars needs to have as big and thin steering wheel as possible.Also, I can't think how its possible to park a car with that tiny steering wheel, with no power steering?  

I would get the car first and then start buying parts for it!

Meh.  For what it's worth, that steering wheel is very similar to the one used in the DoH movie; so it already had the spotlight in a very well-known Mopar.  I'm sure custom and aftermarket steering wheels have been going into hot rods and muscle cars since there were hot rods and muscle cars.  Particularly smaller, race inspired ones.  So I think the Ricer comment is a little spurious.  Though I agree that power steering is a good thing to have if you install one.

I just don't like that thermos cap lookin horn button.  The wheel itself if fine.  The spokes on mine are nearly the same without the little crossbar.  The diameter is bigger than it looks. (and no that's not what she said)  

Plenty of American muscle cars with a pinned wooden wheel in the 70's.  It's nostalgic IMO.

The only rice you'll see around me is on a plate.

Get the Steering wheel YOU like it's your Car not theirs personally, I can't stand Stock looking Big, thin Steering Wheels might as well be driving a Caddy from the 70's! check out this site some nice wheels there.

Just got this today from Steering Wheels by Mike (Tarkington).  He refinishes the repro woodgrain wheels to make them look like the originals.  He strips and re-does the woodgrain finish and brushes the chromed spokes.  Love it.
