Well, first of all let me say that anyone that has seen this car would understand that the 175.00 that is in savings from donations (50.00 which we started with our money) won't touch ANY of the car.   I was doing updates every 1st of the month, but sorry I have had some issues come up for November and December.   My bad.
We have found some parts for the car and we are about 3 weeks from the garage being totally finished, until then we have no 220 and no lights, so not much can happen.   We explained from the beginning that we are doing the resto with our own time and 99% our own money, this car will take a couple of years after it is started, it need almost everything down to the frame. Including some of the frame.   All people that donated have been told OVER AND OVER that their money gives them a name in the book that is going to be shown with the car and that they participated in the DC.com car.
Anyone that would like can gladly have their money returned to them, I have all of it logged and we will still restore the car and if Troy would like, still have it be the official car.
What frustrates me so much is that instead of checking to see if there was a thread about this (like the one is Sept) people just assume we were out to take money and run.
Trust me that's not worth 125.00.
Let me know what ya'll want to do and if you want to forget it, I will return the money and my Cuda can be restored first because Jonathan won't feel obligated in the 6 months he has home a year to work on this car first.

long time no talk shelley, glad you came to clear it up.  now that its here, lets make this thread out to be a positive one.  linky your paypal info so if others want to donate they can (me included).  and let us know what you need for the car as far as parts.

Right now we don't need any money or parts.  All the beginning work is breaking it down and stripping paint (my job) and welding and sanding and welding and sanding.......on and on.
We figured that people would start getting excited and involved with the monthly updates when we were active and had pictures every month of the progress.  We also thought about doing a paint job with dodge charger.com in ghost letters to go along with the plaque.  But all of that was going to be done with polls and let the people here decide.
I don't want anyone to send any money right now, I would rather not feel like anyone else might think we were taking money for nothing.

See what you started Jim :slap:  :rotz:

If you seen my other post Shelly, I more then likely will probabaly be moving to your part of the woods soon. So you may have some help every so often. I myself would like to see that car get going. :yesnod:

I might get to learn something on how to do bodywork to my car then.

Glad to hear from ya again, Shelley. Thanks for the update.

I hope you had a good holiday season.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well again a thread that shows the mental state of some members... :image_294343:

Is this your version of a "Where's the t-shirts" thread?
How do you know the car isn't being worked on? How about just start a thread asking about it & wait for an answer, instead of jumping to unfounded conclusions?

What a load of crap. :rotz:

Ha! A believer. And let me guess...... Your are still waiting for your T shirt???

This is getting out of line.   He had the right to ask (though a PM might have worked better).   I might have been a scam artist.   Some things could have been said a little nicer (from everyone) and it would have been nice if I had at least a half a day to respond before the attack started, but lets just let it be.   I am considering just returning the money taken in and not accepting donations on the car.   That way it is no longer a stupid idea.   Only donation we keep is the "car" and we will still make it a dodge charger.com car.
Everyone just be happy...dagummit
