As some of you know, I have been in search of a wing car for 2 years now. I Found a car for sale on moparts and figured I would look into it even though I still had my 4 spd go mango challenger to get rid of.  Long story short, the ad said trades welcome so I called.  Low and behold I met one of the nicest guys in the mopar hobbby and we struck up a deal for his car and my challenger plus cash.
Now about the car.  I landed an FJ5 1970 Plymouth superbird, 440+6 V code console auto.  The car originally shipped to Windomar Calif. then went to Ohio where it has been sitting since 1981.   Making me the 3rd owner. The car has all original panels, original wing and nose(never been off), one repaint.  Original motor and 727 never been out and only has 34000 miles. Broadcast sheet was under the seat. Nothing has been changed on the car since 1981, its a pure time capsule.  From what I can see, nothing is missing.  Even the original grease markings are in the trunk. My plans are to do brakes and fluids and make the car safe, and simply enjoy it for now.  The paint is shiny and the car is just plain out nastalgic.  I am so excited about this car that words cant express it.  Thanks to Troy (hemi68) and Gene(hemigeno), and Dave(nascarxx29) and everyone else for all the help.  Eric

I dont think it was on ebay, found it through moparts.  And thanks also to Rob and Mike(mopar469) for putting me in touch with the owner.  Truly classy honest mopar people.  Thats what I love the most about this hobby.

No problem Eric! Rob and Scott are stand up guys. Eric, let the people know what kind of restorations we can do at mopar and collector cars. Especially the 9600 mile 69 hemi road runner!

I can only imagine.  Wheel cylinders are getting replaced in the morning as well as rear shoes and hardware.   I just need to spin the front rotors, the pads are great.  Then an oil change and fluid/grease check and Im DRIVING IT!!

Thanks Troy, learned something today.

Well for starters don't have 100+K just lying around, so it would have to have been a trade + cash deal as well.
There was no interest in my trade in another car listed for sale previously , so ....
Besides, really would like a B5 blue one.
And as someone on this board had stated, if you're gonna lay out thousands of dollars, may as well get the one you want.
