Ha! Quick on the draw, Chris!  :2thumbs:
Let's back up a few, I've got some progress pics for ya.

These wheels come black powdercoat. Let's just say the powdercoat finish is less than ideal. Peeling was observed already in a few areas, even some rust spots right out of the box.
Any trouble spots were taken care of. The fronts were sanded by hand with 220 grit & primed with PPG DP epoxy primer. The backsides were then painted with Eastwood's Underhood Black.

The DP primer was allowed to cure, then scuff sanded again. Paint is 2-stage Dupont Chromabase.

The wheels were given 3 coats of base, then two coats of clear. The clear used was DuPont Chromaclear 7776S Snap Dry Clearcoat. I've never sprayed it before, but it's AWESOME stuff! 3-5 minute flash dry time in between coats, dust free in 8-10 minutes. Cure time air dry in 2hrs. Perfect clear for painting small parts, even outside.

Brought the wheels inside after a few hours, they're ready to go!

yeah i'm leaning to body color again  now , but like the look of black also !!
wonder what the deal is with the thinner fratzog ?? thats the trouble with painted wheels !!  got the balance weights put  on the back side for the very reason even on my black wheels !! & i mentioned in my hupcap thread , thinking of a way to pop the cap off with out scratching , gouging the wheel ! as they are on there pretty damn tight ! ok i'm waffling on a bit now  ::)!!
fingers crossed they sort the rouge cap Chris ! , let us know what happens

Put a towel behind the tool and wrap tape around the "hook" end, and you should be ok.

Are you not having a tire store mount these? If you are they should be use to mounting alloy and painted wheels and have a non-marring mounting machine. If you are doing it yourself I can tell you what I use to do when mounting tires to the painted rims on my BMW motorcycle. I would cut the fingers out of a pair of heavy work gloves ( welding gloves) and put the cut off fingers on the end of my breaker bars to keep from scratching the paint. Used lots of dish soap and it worked like a charm.  :2thumbs:

More then likely a high end wheel shop will mount them.  My friend who owns a shop (that dismounted the tires off my old rims) has a wheel clamp machine but doesnt have the plastic insert for the bead roller on top....at least he doesnt yet.  If he doesnt feel confident about being able to mount the tires without damaging the rims Ill take it to the custom wheel shop (and get raped in the process...)

Just an FYI. I always let them dry for a week before mounting tires. Just to be safe. I also put a daub of grease on the nubs of the wheel so the caps go on and off easier. A slide hammer used just pull works great to remove the caps.

I dont know if I can wait that long!!!  Might not be able to get them mounted till Thurs or Fri of this week anyway :(

Good tip with the grease...Ill utilize that one.

For shitz & gigglez I ordered up these as well....no real prying necessary with these....just hook & pull (hopefully)

Changes the whole look of the car.  That crappy bastard aluminum cap I got wont even stay on the rim!!   Gonna have to drive to the show minus 1 cap for the ride & put it on at the show.  hopefully YO ships out the new caps soon.

More & better pics to follow....

Not too bad.....a little scraping on the edge of 1 rim.   When the tire was mounted it covered it up for the most part....a small amt of touch up paint & all is well
