Hey,

Im looking for some advice on what parts to use for my 493.

Currently it is a 493 shortblock w/ 13cc dished pistons, forged rods, & crank.

Would like opinions on what heads, cam intake ect.....
I allready have a set of closed chamber eddy heads that have been ported by porter racing, peak flow was around 315 if I recall but I am open to other options as I can allways sell these (indy EZ295s maybe?)
Also have TTi2" headers for the car so this will limit head selection.
I am open to suggestions on flat tappit cams or roller but keep in mind this is a street car.

What I want out of the motor.
It needs to driveable, slight surging is tollerable but I dont want this to be a pain to drive.
Power brakes will be used so vacuum at idle is important
Would like somthing around an honest 600HP/TQ with crisp throttle response.

My main focus here is to have a reliable, low maintanence engine that still has respectible performance

Ideas? am I asking for the impossible?

Why don't you cruise the "Proven Engine Combinations" section in the forums? You might get some ideas.
