Has anyone ever repainted a 3rd gen rallye dash bezel?

If so, what color did you find that best matches the original brown?

Hi Patrick
I just did my 73SE dash, and used a Rustoleum textured spray paint. The texture is just slightly rougher than stock finish, but looks great. I changed from gold to black, and the paint covers really well.  Rustoleum does make a dark brown, the number is  241255 - Dark Brown Textured

Thanks for the reply.  I think you're talking about the dash board.  I meant to say the plastic, fake wood face of the rallye dash cluster is what I'm looking to paint.

Sorry, was thinking metal dash. I have also used Krylon Fusion paint for plastics. Did the seat backs, turned out fine. They may have a plastic paint in brown for the bezel. Just did the chrome trim around bezel and gauges with a silver leafing pen , looks almost like the original plastic chrome

SEM works best for vinyl and plastics. Find a color chart in Google images and look for a brown. You should find something close.

the deal, more than the color itself is how to make the shades... is not a solid color really.
