"Leather seats"

?

I'm sure it is just a case that he or some previous owner added them......... Unless it is an A47 SE car, but I doubt that since it doesn't have the SE medallion nor woodgrain dash...

my first thought was the seller might be too young to remember vinyl seats, and since they aren't cloth...

the asking price is a lot of money, but it is the real deal. it will be interesting to see the outcome.

He said his reserve was less than the BIN price.

So what are you guys thinking of as far as as a price?  $100K?
If it is indeed number's matching and the body is in good shape, and is a nice driver,   I can't see it going for much less.  4 speed and disc brakes are a big plus, (not to mention those painted to match vector rims  :D )

That Y2 automatic a while back needed more work and I believe that one got bid in the 80s.

Based on the "marketability" of mine, the fact it is apparently an original 4-speed and what appears to be a solid original panel car (who knows, the pictures can't really tell and ad doesn't mention it), then I would say 100K easy.. But, I'm jaded......

Troy if you are jaded, I am tainted... :smilielol: :smilielol:  IMO if the buyer is a typical fully restore the car, there is nicer cars out there done and although I like Y2 it is not the typical "have to have colors".  So say at 100k plus 70-100+ resto =200k in it, it will/should not sell at 100k IMO, other cars this past yr have prooven that 65-80k range it seems as FMV to me.  If a fella, bought it and groomed with a repaint to a nice driver, I could see doing that... it would likely NOT be anywhere as nice as Troys and more money.....  not that I am shopping, that car would have to be at 60 before I would start getting bothered, others likely would flinch before me some amount higher, just my thoughts on this car, like it, just not that much :Twocents:

If I got a set of 15x8 steelies and painted them either the same yellow with doggies or black with chrome lug nuts, replace the antenna and then replace the missing door panel, she'd look pretty good without a repaint.....  At least getcha up and going...... Those rims really don't do anything for me.....

The car is caught in an 80's time warp  (color, wheels, seat covers, #3 decal on the glass) and could be "improved" pretty easily.   Someone knows what they have, but is apparently not the typical Daytona collector.   This is one of those cars totally off the radar screen for decades.   They are still out there.    Cool car.

surmanajaja

cool car, worth the 68k thats it bid now, but I wouldnt even think to pay the "buy it now", looks to me like it has problems under the paint. of course could be just the pics but I like better both the other daytonas I saw on the market today.

I like seeing these cars being ( outside the ring ) and being used as a day two ( street machine )
