I tend to agree with Tan Top as there is no rash on the side to suggest that it rolled.

Man those wings are strong.

Ghoste

Thats a recent pic?  Don't leave us hanging.

Indygenerallee

Looks like it rolled down a hill!!!!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Hemi Runner

pic is titled rollover.jpg so I'm guessing it was a rollover? :D That won't buff out and it can't be fixed. However, I would be willing to remove it from said premises and use it as yard art at my house. All at no cost to you whatsoever :2thumbs:

It is an old pic. From what I gather the only thing that is still alive is the wing...

Which is why I'm thinking it can't have been a roll over.

I have seen stranger things happen! That looks like a rollover for sure.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

If that is the case, where's the dirt or road rash then?

Indygenerallee

I have seen plenty of rollovers that looked like that, I bought a rolled 2004 Dodge Ram and it looked like that roof caved and bunch of dents, (no grass or big scratches)
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Fred

I'm thinking there's no way that wing would have come away unscathed in a rollover. Just sayin"  :shruggy:

Montreal Wing Car

That's an old pic from my files!
From what I understood from the guy who gave me the original, the car went into a ditch in Abitibi, Quebec, in the 80's or 90's and was later repaired.
I see that person from time to time, I'll get more info later...

Dave@ECS just confirmed that the car was delivered like this in 1970.  Apparently, NASCAR mandated that some 'birds be sold in "post-crash" condition to be considered eligible for competition, and he has four DM's willing to swear to it on video.

A few years ago my uncle bought a '76 911 to turn into a race car.  A college aged kid had it, and lost control going down a hill in the rain.  The car went up a grassy embankment, crushed all of the panels on the driver's side, and dented the roof.  Very few scratches or marks were on it when we went and bought it.

Does this car still exist?  When was the picture taken?

petercharger

No no your all wrong...it was my wife trying to get it in a sub compact parking space....you should have seen the honda   :smilingly:
