Anyone know where they filmed any of that movie? I watched the DVD and the director said something about a place 300 miles north of San Francisco for the huge orchard. I mapped that out and it looks like that would be right on the Oregon/California border. They seem to be in California the whole time, as most cars have the Cali black plates, but the Charger looks to have blue/orange Oregon licence plates.

So does the Sierra Walnut patch exist? What about other filming locations? Anyone know? Anyone live around that area?
Speed kills, but you get there faster.

I remember going to the theatre to see that move as a teenager. I was driving a Chevelle SS 396 at the time and was a die hard Chevy guy. Seeing that Charger on the big screen was love at first sight. The next day I drove around town looking for a Charger at the local car lots but couldn't find one. I found a superbird...too much money and a hemicuda...didn't run very well and that was it. College and the lack of funds ended my dream of having a mopar back then, but boy did I make up for it later.

I was driving through Linden and Lodi (filming locations) a few months ago. The roads and scenery look remarkably the same!

I still haven't seen that movie yet.  I have wanted to for a long time but can't get a copy of it..........I think the girl at blockbuster thought it was some kind of porn when I asked about it.  Does anybody in the Chicago Area have a copy up for borrowing?

I bought mine off Amazon I think but I have seen them at Wal-Mart.

I'm getting Dirty Mary Crazy Larry in the mail this friday according to the shipping company.  I ordered it as an online rental from blockbuster.  www.blockbuster.com   They have a free 2 week trial of their online rental service and you get 3 movies at time.  Plust they send you two coupons you can print out to go to the blockbuster store and use for a free movie rental.  If you sign up just make sure you cancel the day before the 2 week trial is over, otherwise they will charge you and add a month to your service.  There is also no charge for shipping.  I figured why buy the movie when I could rent it.........(yes I might just have a dvd burner too if the movie is worth keeping) :icon_smile_big:

"IF" it's worth keeping?  :o It's the greatest movie ever.  The dvd is even painted to look like a 69 Charger rallye tach/clock guage.
Incidentally, I was at our local Wal-Mart last night and they still had several copies in stock.

When I went to buy it, the lady looked up like I was a dirty old man.  When it popped up on the screen that it was a 70's movie, she just started to laugh and said I thought you were looking for a porn flick.  I am sure I turned about three shades of pink, with the whole store looking in my direction.

My wife called Blockbuster looking for it too (we ended buying it from Amazon) and the clerk told her "we don't rent those kind of movies"  :P

I got it in the mail from blockbuster today.  It was a pretty good movie, definetely worth having except for the fact that the blockbuster disc is scratched so the movie keeps skipping.
