Replaced the valve stem seals to cut back on that two stroke look when I let off the gas.
and added a 1900 series Demon carb. Put some radials tires on.  Like the ride but miss
the wide tire look.
My first Charger was a Stock Car.

Sublime/Sixpack

Replaced the 12 year old battery. Then stirred the four speed on a nice little cruise. :yesnod:

Finally finished repairing my hood and had it re painted earlier this week.  :yesnod:

Drove it around town today, let it cool down after I got home and gave it a good bath. I may put a little wax on it tomorrow since it isn't feeling as smooth as usual.

I parked it when it got back from Carlisle and hadn't touched it since. Today, I jumped in it and took it to a local car show. I didn't even clean it, just hit it with some quick detailer when I got there. It was nice to get it out again.

I am having running too hot issue all summer. Not quite over heating. But too hot for my comfort. Not over heating & spewing coolant or steaming but I can smell uncle-freeze when I park after a long cruise. I do have a 1 quart overflow bottle on it & keep finding coolant in it so I think it is time... I have a new OER Repro radiator coming from Classic Industries to replace the old radiator that has been in the car for the 27 years I have owned it. I will be replacing it when it comes in tomorrow. Then out to Woodward Friday night if all goes well & all day Saturday.

Had my alignment done today. Brought it to a local place that's not a chain store, I was actually allowed in the shop part and watched them do it. I gave them specs that I got from an old Mopar Action article, more for modern tires. They did a nice job, put as much positive caster as they could with the stock bolts and upper control arm. Car is rock solid on the highway and wheel is perfectly centered.  I love the firm feel stage 2 box!!

Took a fun pic while he had me in the car while adjusting the settings.

Looks like the pushrods are to long, the cups are hitting the rocker at full lift, OR if hydro not enough lifter pre load, this can cause what happened

Thanks, I think you're exactly right about not enough lifter preload.  Also looks like some knucklehead (me) didn't properly tighten at least one lock nut.  :'(
