He's just selling his entire collection off and it's not that uncommon at all.  A lot of collectors are more thrilled by the hunt than the actual ownership.  The collection will reach a certain size and they sell off everything claiming to be done with it forever.  Usually they are back in the audience bidding on things within a year. :lol:

I think it would be tough to maintain a large collection.  I just have a few cars and it is tough to rotate them and get them all some road time.  I don't think they should be life size models.  I by no means abuse mine but I drive them all.

It's very tough, it takes a lot of money and dedication even if they aren't driven to keep a large collection together.
