QuoteAlso a large number of those 463 where sold to Nascar drivers and ended up destroyed on the track,  so that would make this car even rarer considering how many do not exist any more.

wow, you learn something new everyday.  ::)

Yeah, I remember that.  When I was at the dealership buying my car there was this rude Nascar driver that cut in front of me in line, said he was in a rush because race was starting later that day.  :yesnod:

You should have kept both of them, IMO, Daytona/Superbird are over rated.

Not fer me......   But, it's nice to know being that there is a supply shortage of "Daytonas/Superbirds to those that want one."

I like the color. Atlas musclecar must low ball the crap out of everyone and resell. Rediculous the # of chargers they have had.

Dunno about 90k though.

Don't know about that, supply and demand, would reflect better prices, these have fallen as dramatically as all the standard muscle cars, which are in much higher supply, this says to me, though there are much fewer of these available, they are also much fewer buyers that want them.  Though I see, many sellers still price them at near peak prices $125k and above, nothing sells, unless it is concours. It is still very much a buyers market for these as is for practically all the muscle cars.  :Twocents:

BTW... the asking price on this car is ridiculous, considering the F8 Hemi 500 listed for the second time on ebay is just pulling 82K, this is not even in the same league as that.  Last F8 500, 440,  listed, nice one too, just managed 40K as top bid.  Looks like this one will be around for a while.

Well, he tried to sell it a little after he acquired from me from the trade we did... Hopefully, if sold, it'll go to a good home.. It was a nice car... But, it'll really need a new paint job ( for top-show quality that is )... Doesn't look like much was done to it (granted those look like older pictures).

Wonder if he still has his Hemi Charger 500..  :scratchchin:  That was, if my memory is correct, a nice survivor........

Yeah - Don't believe ebay ads!     Charger 500 race cars were converted 68s.    Brand new, 69 built 500 race cars at Nichels shop were standard 69 bodies with plugs added. Only one known race car was converted from a 500.   DC-93.   And that info is what's been told, in Supercars, for example, but not confirmed with documentation.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

fc7_plumcrazy

I think a realistic price could be around 50k
