Anyone out there know if theres a repo shifter for 68/69 charger 4 speed with a console? If no repos what else works?  Cant seem to find an original and was wondering if theres another way.  Thanks

Is it that you can't find one or is it the price that is the problem? Originals are on Ebay quite a bit and Brewers will have them.

I don't believe anyone is making a reproduction. Keisler does offer a console shifter for the 5 speed setup and that might work but you would have to tallk with them about it.

If originality is not an issue the Hurst console pistol grip is now being reproduced.

The shifter itself shouldn't be too hard to find (I may even have a used one somewhere) but the handle will be slightly more difficult. You're looking for the one with the round handle right? (68?) The handles aren't reproduced as far as I know but I thought Hurst was making the shifters again. You may want to check places like Gunslinger too since he can make just about anything if he has dimensions. Brewer's, Passon, and Tony's parts probably all keep a few in stock but they may be pricey.

Oh, the 5-speed handle from Keisler won't work for a factory install.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Thanks for the added info Troy. I was only talking about the shifter handle in my response.

I have the shifter I guess I should have specified shifter handle.  For a console car doesn't it have to have a wierd "C" shape where it comes throught the console?  At first I was going to put in a pistol grip from a 70 console but I thought nobody was repoducing them.  Then I started looking for a 68 model handle but I'm not sure its shaped like the 70 handle.  The ones on ebay usually dont specify exactly what there for and I'm not sure what they look like.  I dont want to spent several hundred on a shifter to find it wont work with a console.  So can anyone get me a picture or PN for any original charger shifter handle that will work with a console or a nice repo aftermarket that will work with a console.  Thanks guys  PS This week I'll be cutting up a 69 for the frame rails so if anyone needs any obscure bracket or part off the shell let me know.  Please guys metal parts welded to the shell only if it bolts or screws on its already gone and the tail panels already gone.  Roof and sails no good
