How much is it really worth the way it sits and how much when done ??

Original 426 HEMI, automatic, B7 blue with blue interior.
All numbers matching, I bought this car in 2012. It was being restored by Frank Badalson in North Carolina. I put the car somewhat back together to get it across the boarder and home. I have a lot of parts for this car, example NOS wheel lip moldings, tranny cooler, date coded exhaust, carbs, air cleaner. It will need a complete interior.
Only 33 of these cars made and how many have the #'s matching sheet metal engine and tranny? Not many! Very rare car!!!
I know what this car is worth, I have too many projects to finish in my lifetime.
Do not low ball and only serious people please.

Assuming the Engine Block is original and usable....
The Car is very rare and collectable.

That said,
in it's current state of dis-repair, and to restore it properly from here.... IMO, it will cost you as much in the investment, as what it will be worth when done & finished ?

Again here, it is just my opinion, but $20K U.S. as it sits is LOTS !

I'm guessing he isn't even entertaining thoughts south of $17,000 right now.      When done. (if done right) $60,000 to possibly $75,000 to the right person.

Ask Frank Balderson how much to finish it, Or Roger Gibson. Bet it will cost more to restore & you'll have more into it then you could sell it for. Unless you can do all the work right yourself? LEON.

Second tag is an inspection tag with some letters stamped in various places. Might be a Lynch Road thing as my car also has a 2nd. Judging by the  lack of info on the 1st tag I'd say it's a Lynch Rd. car since I can't read the #'s.

Well it being numbers matching would surely increase the price but as many would say it's worth more assembled than apart. also dependent on you wallet and mechanical know-how, i'd say around 20k if it was in running condition, but like everyone else, we know he thinks he's sitting on a gold mine and expects full dollar for a project car.

& sometimes you have to pay a premium for the opportunity to restore a car this "RARE", right or wrong

Why not just go out and buy a LOSER stock option, KNOWING you are going to lose money for the next 10-15 years, just so you can "SAY" you own it ?

I don't get it either IF you have no personal attachment to the car.

I certainly wouldn't have socked what I have into my '69 Bee now if my Father hadn't bought it new, if I hadn't spent some good teenage years terrorizing the highways in it, then got married and drove home from the Chapel in it and I'm still married to the same high school sweetheart some 35 years later that appreciates the car, etc.

Agree... but perhaps a wealthy collector will buy?

Otherwise, suspect car sells at a decent price such that anyone finishing will be upside down financially unless they do the work themselves.   I know from experience but my car has some sentimental value

Wow! Must be me but I can't see anything like that amount of cash in the 71 plus Charger models. They are worth what someone is willing to pay I guess! To me they are just not "pretty" enough.

Mind you those are completely and fully restored, and i was pretty sad to see the "lack" of 1968's for sale on mecum haha. Plenty of 1971s though, hemi or not, imo nothing compared to the look of a 68 r/t.

"How much?"  Seems like a pretty common question to ask a seller.   
Why would a seller want to waste a bunch of time on other questions, for people who aren't in the price range to begin with?

To answer the price question, a good friend of mine called him yesterday morning. He wants $70,000 CAD as it sits. My friend offered $50,000 and would have someone pick it up that night. He said no, he's firm at $70,000.
