Love the color combo on that one. Looks like driver condition. Wonder what it'll go for.

Can the bad boy vibe add to the value?  :scratchchin:

I had bid on this one before we drove up Thursday and did an inspection. Thank God I did not have the high bid. What a perfect example of the requirement to do a physical inspection before buying, particularly auctions and internet sales. The car sold for $175,000 +10% and looked great online. I feel bad for the poor guy who, upon delivery, thinks "I finally got me a Superbird" and then says "What have I done?"

The rumor is that the same guy from California bought this one and the orange Bird disaster also at this auction. Anyway, here are my summary notes

Thanks for the recap!  At least it didn't have flares on top of a fuel cell next to a battery!

No-it doesn't show any messages here? If you did it on Facebook, I don't do that but once a year or so-1 of my employees wives handles that for me so I dont really get them

taxspeaker

Well, I now see a bunch of messages I didn't know I had and never responded too-sorry! Video of blue car exam coming on our YouTube by thursday

Taxspeaker,

I really enjoyed your video!!!

The pictures from under the front subframe told a lot more than you brief description. Plus your comments about the front fenders and hood. Missing A pillar chrome.

At a big auction these things would have been noticed by many. At a small auction really "buyer beware."

taxspeaker

Thanks redbird, agree on your suggestion on organization of comments, we kind of just stopped when we saw frame issues.

Found more info on blue car, came from Cleveland, numbers do match on core support, trunk weatherstrip area and transmission.
