He got him down to 60K but I'm sure we can do better. I just don't know what a fair value is these days.

Pretty cool car from the factory. It looks to have good bones but will need some attention here and there. He likes the red so that's good.

I hate seeing the passenger door striker painted body color, it looks like a good driver car but without seeing the car in person its a gamble, from what I see 60k is about right, sure glad I bought mine when I did 14 years ago.

Same buddy. I paid 14k for mine in 2011.

Man, I don't think it's anywhere close to being worth 60k. Crappy spray painted black engine bay, door striker is painted over, and who in the hell put those sail panel emblems halfway up the panel?? :eek2: I understand it's an R/T, but that's only worth so much. Doesn't look like a quality restoration at all. This car gives me the "resale red" vibes. I bet there is a lot more hiding in the shadows behind that paint if you looked at it in person. I'm thinking 45k would be my absolute max. And yes, I watch these values every day.

Hopefully this link will load. This looks like a very nice car for the money. Very original. Big block, power windows, working original AC, etc. I'd take this over that red car any day of the week.

Tunnel ram on the street with skinny tires, lost the 4-speed (!), color change inside and out, spray-bombed engine compartment and hinges..... Choices made leads me to be suspicious of decisions made in rebuilding it. If your pal loves it, great... but I would really take the time to look at paint prep, former rust, filler, etc. All these changes certainly lower the marketability of what was a highly desired car, so it will be harder to resell when that time comes.

Neat car originally. Too bad the effort to spruce it up did not return it closer to the way it was built. I would have to dump a bunch of money into it getting rid of the ram, cut hood, re-installing the 4-speed, and painting the engine bay. So to me... maybe 40k max... but someone will probably pay what you have already offered for it.
