Hope the owner of the car lives very far away from the shop so they have time to cool off before talking to shop owner
I know I would not be in a very good mood by the time I got there if it was my car :RantExplode:

It gets a little sideways and if you don't know what to do all hell breaks loose! A GTO did the same thing here a few days ago.  :eek2:

WOW! That poor car is completely destroyed.  :o  This happens more often than you think.  :eyes:

A friend of mine has been a mechanic since the mid 1980's & had worked for a few different shops. He had told me about some of wrecks & the close calls he's seen, or heard about from coworkers during "test drives" that went wrong. It's even happened to me on a smaller scale when I had my truck at a local shop to get tires. They drove my truck into the wall of the building causing $3200 worth of damage. The incompetence runs just as rampant as stupidity.

Classic case of "high-performance car, low-performance driver".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I know that area well, only a few miles from my House. Since I've worked in Body Shops & Resto shops most of my life, I could tell you wild & stupid & crazy stories you wouldn't believe. Like the time the Boss & the Mechanic took a customer's 71 Hemi Roadrunner & 70 T/A Challenger out to Drag Race, I mean test drive. the Challenger came back with Piston through Cylinder & block had to be resleeved to save the #'s matching Motor. The Story actually gets worse but it would be like writing a book to explain.

There are thick tree trunks & utility poles all over those pics.  That driver wasn't even trying to control his risk.

That is a bullshit claim that is used by idiots that can't handle a car that they are not familiar with OR dudes that get stopped for speeding.
I'm not some expert driver but I have had throttles stick before and was always able to shut it down.
This guy surely was out screwing around and lost control. The "throttle stuck" is a weak defense.

The next time that poor owner takes his car in for new tires or inspection, he's gonna put a NASCAR restrictor plate under the carb.

If you have Power Steering & Power Brakes & your throttle sticks wide open & you panic & turn it off, you then lose all power & have NO Brakes & NO Steering. :scratchchin:

70 up steering locks when turned off, mine is disabled.  :scratchchin:

Only if you are a vegan wimp built like this guy...

Real men can still steer a car when the power steering goes out though the braking won't be as easy to deal with.
