I have a battery tender that works fine. It's the green one that we see alot of.  I want to get a second one.  Looking for recommendations as to other brand battery tenders out there.  Thanks.

Depends on battery types?  :scratchchin:

Q5XX29

I used to have numerous cars and snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, etc on Battery Tender Jr's, but over the years I've had some disappointments with them. Sometimes they would fail and I figured out there was just a 5 cent capacitor that fails so I bought a bunch of those to have on hand and would solder in a new capacitor when they would fail. But the bigger issue I've had with them is that sometimes they continue to read "green light" even when the battery is toast. Now I am a reasonable guy and I know a battery can't be kept viable indefinitely, but I do expect those dang battery tenders to at least notify me when the battery is shot! I've been gradually transitioning all of my toys over to CTEK chargers. More expensive, but I've never had one disappoint me yet. I think it's the MXS 5.0 that I usually get.
